Movie: Searching for Tom Curren

Meet legendary surfer Tom Curren, as he surfs the The LineUp’s 100-foot wide Wai Kai Wave. Afterwards, head to The LookOut upstairs for a screening of the award-winning, digitally remastered classic surf film, “Searching for Tom Curren,” a movie by the late filmmaker Sonny Miller.
In the early ’90s, three-time World Champion Tom Curren was in his competitive prime, but decided to leave the tour and join the Rip Curl Search program with filmmaker Sonny Miller at the helm. The result is the iconic film, “Searching for Tom Curren.” The 38-minute film takes us with Tom as he discovers new waves around the world, tests the limits of board design and offers insight into his refreshing and thoughtful perspective on life and surfing.
